US presidential candidate Donald Trump (76) sent a gloomy Easter message on Sunday. The US president, who was voted out of office in 2020, wrote on his social network Truth Social: “Third World War” – without comment, in large letters.
Trump had already warned last week that the world was falling apart – suggesting that only he in power could save the world from destruction. Trump spoke of a “total nuclear World War III” threatening the world.
This after a jury in Manhattan indicted him in connection with alleged hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels (44). Following the indictment, Trump warned in a speech at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida that other countries could use nuclear weapons – and blamed his successor, US President Joe Biden, 80.
Would “never have happened” under President Trump
In the background of the war between Ukraine and Russia, Trump said several countries openly threaten to use nuclear weapons. During his tenure, this was never mentioned or discussed by other nations. “This could very well lead to an all-out nuclear world war under the leadership of the Biden administration,” Trump said. “We’re not far off, believe it or not.”
Trump also warned that the US economy was “collapsing” and inflation was “out of control” while dangerous axes were forming. “Russia has allied itself with China, Saudi Arabia has allied itself with Iran. Can you believe it?”
Trump assured, “If I were your president, this would never have happened. Russia wouldn’t attack Ukraine either. All those lives would be saved. All these beautiful cities would stand still,” he said, referring to the destruction in Ukraine.
Wife Melania and Biden cling to the idea of Easter
Trump also issued a cynical Easter message, dedicating it to “pathetic Republicans, far-left Democrats, Socialists, Marxists and Communists who oppose tougher border security and electoral laws.” In any case, his wife Melania (52) stuck to the idea of Easter. “Happy Easter,” the former first lady tweeted with the photo of a rose.
