The decision to continue the measures now rests with the institutions. The legal obligation lapses for residents of homes and employees of the facilities.

The mask obligation on buses and trains was already abolished at the beginning of February. In March, almost all testing and mask requirements expired. Until now, the obligation to wear an FFP2 mask only applied to visitors to medical practices, clinics and nursing homes.

The corona measures are regulated in the Infection Protection Act, which has been amended several times in recent years. According to the German Ministry of Health, the legal framework for this will no longer apply from Saturday. In that case, the entry regulation for the corona virus will also lapse. This means that there are no longer any restrictions for travelers due to Corona.
