Last Saturday, disaster struck in Bad Langensalza in the German state of Thuringia. According to current knowledge, the accident driver (34) got behind the wheel of his BMW completely drunk. Together with his drunk passenger (45), he rammed a Mercedes and a VW head-on in a bend.
While the two drunk drivers survived the horrific accident with serious injuries, seven people in the other two cars were killed. Among them were five young people (all †19) who were in the completely burnt-out Mercedes.
Particularly tragic: Among the Mercedes victims was a young couple. This is reported by the “image”.

According to the report, Anika H.* was in the Mercedes with her boyfriend Dennis B.*. “My cousin is one of the victims of this terrible accident,” says Thorsten Diesner (39), Dennis’ uncle, to the newspaper.
Dennis and his girlfriend had just started an internship at a bank. According to the uncle, the two had many plans. “You would have had a great life ahead of you.” On the day of the accident, they were out with friends.
Diesner does not know where the group wanted to go. But one thing is clear: the young people didn’t stand a chance. After the crash with the BMW, the Mercedes went up in flames. The 19-year-old burned to death in the wreckage.
The driver and his passenger survived the crash. They are still in mortal danger and cannot be questioned. Police are investigating suspected murders in seven cases. (dzc)
