This brutal act shocked: two German police officers (54, 52) from the criminal investigation department of Darmstadt (D) allegedly enriched themselves with money and other belongings of a deceased person at a crime scene. The case is said to have taken place in November 2022.
According to information from “Focus”, the officers were about to conduct an apartment death investigation when they were filmed by a camera stealing cash and personal effects. When the relatives discovered the recordings, they became suspicious and immediately alerted the police. It was announced that one of the suspects had confessed. The two detectives also apparently apologized to the victim’s family.
The police are disappointed in their employees
The officers involved must now answer to the court: As it became known on Monday, the public prosecutor’s office in Darmstadt is investigating the two police officers for joint embezzlement.
The affected police authority was very disappointed in its employees. Such allegations are serious, said the responsible police chief.
According to “Focus”, the two men were not allowed to perform their official duties until further notice. They were also banned from the police station. (A)
