Russian security forces made the arrest on Monday Daria Trepova, suspected of yesterday’s murder of military blogger Vladlen Tatarski in a cafe in St. Petersburg. This Monday, it became known that the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs issued a search and arrest warrant for Trepov (26). According to part of the Russian Ministry of Health, ten of the 32 injured in the attack in which Tatarski died were in serious condition. Trepova was already in the crosshairs of the Russian authorities in February 2022, when she was sentenced to 10 days of administrative arrest for unauthorized action against the military campaign in Ukraine.
The attack on the pro-Russian military blogger is reminiscent of the one he killed in August Daria Duginthe daughter of the leader of the neo-Eurasian movement Alexander Duguin, who was considered close to the Kremlin. The Russian journalist died in exploded a bomb under his vehicle while driving on the highway on the outskirts of Moscow. Russian authorities have accused Ukrainian secret services of being behind the attack, which the government in Kiev has vehemently denied.
The head of Wagner’s group, Yevgeny Prigozhin, to which the place where the attack was carried out belonged, said today that on this occasion he would not accuse the “Kiev regime” of the attack on Tatarski. “I think it is the work of a group of radicals not connected to the (Ukrainian) government,” said Prigozhin, who confirmed that he had given the space to a patriotic group to organize various events.
