The waitress responds gratefully, but the audience disagrees. “The guy gave her a present” and “I’d rather drive around in a garbage can than something like that” were some of the comments on the video. Others are concerned that she may not be able to pay for insurance or gas.
MrBeast was recently in the news for paying for eye surgery for 1000 people. This action also received criticism, but for the health system in the US than for the YouTuber himself.
