According to US media reports, the New York prosecutor has received a package containing a suspicious white substance. The package was delivered to the letter center in the building where District Attorney Alvin Bragg has his office, Fox News reported Friday, citing police. However, the content of the program was harmless, it said.
A card in an envelope read: “Alvin – I will kill you,” a police source said. Bragg is leading the investigation into former US President Donald Trump in connection with hush money payments to a porn star and model.
Trump has caused a stir in recent days with posts on his social media platform Truth Social, in which he warned of “death and destruction” regarding the investigation and a possible imminent indictment in the case. In another post shared by Trump, he was seen in a photo montage holding a baseball bat next to Bragg.
Trump had called for protests over the weekend because his arrest was imminent. The arrest has not yet taken place. For days, the so-called grand jury has been awaiting a decision on whether Trump should be indicted. The question is whether Trump may have violated campaign finance laws by paying hush money.
