Anyone who visits Jehane Thomas’s profiles on Instagram or Tiktok will see scenes from the daily life of a young mother of two: Laughing in front of the Christmas tree with her two sons, posing for selfies with friends. Nearly 57,000 followers enjoyed watching Thomas master everyday life.
But now there are no more videos. The Brit died on March 17 at the age of just 30. The cause of death is unclear. The doctors are puzzled, as the “Sun” reports.
For months she suffered from severe migraine attacks and flare-ups. She also documented this on social media with videos from her hospital bed.
“I’m afraid”
Her messages were often hopeful: she announced medical exams, thanked those around her for their support, and was happy that her small online business was doing well.
But lately she’s been less cheerful: “I’m scared,” she wrote under one of her latest videos, apparently before surgery. A few days later the news comes: The 30-year-old has passed away. The exact circumstances of her sudden death are not known.
“I promised to do everything for the boys”
Her death sparked a flurry of messages among her posts. Hundreds of their followers express their displeasure, offer their condolences to the family and pay tribute to the mother.
“Inside and out” she was a beautiful person, a “sweet and sincere soul”, for example, it says. Or: «My heart breaks for the two boys, may they rest in peace».
A friend of hers has called for donations for Thomas’s family. With the target: 20,000 pounds. More than € 16,000 has now been raised. “Your two children are left without their mother. I promised to do what I can for the boys and that’s exactly what I will do,” she wrote on Instagram. (mel)
