The head of the Kyiv regional police, Andriy Nebitov, indicated on his Telegram account that the drones had reached a “residential building” and stated that “the first explosions occurred around three in the morning local time, followed by several more.

“Police and emergency services have evacuated more than 200 people,” he said, before noting that “part” of the building was “almost completely destroyed.” “There’s a fire”he pointed out, with the claim that the emergency services are working to respond to the situation.

In this sense, he condemned that “the enemy has again attacked the civilian infrastructure” and that “there are innocent dead”, among them “an ambulance driver who came to save citizens”. “One more shameful war crime tenants,” said Nebitov, reports Europa Press.

A few hours earlier, the governor of the Kyiv region, Serhiy Popko, assured that air defense systems shot down eight kamikaze drones launched by Russian forces “near Kyiv”. Moscow has not yet commented on what happened.
