After an unmanned military drone crashed over the Black Sea on Tuesday, the US military released video of the incident. It shows a Russian fighter jet dumping fuel as it approaches the US drone and then flies extremely close.
On a second approach, the Russian Su-27 jet again drained fuel and then collided with the drone, the US command center for Europe said Thursday. However, the collision is not visible in the video. According to US information, the camera went out for about a minute. The video shows the partly damaged propeller of the drone.
The US complained that the Russian pilots acted “unprofessional”, “unsafe” and “reckless”. The Russians denied any responsibility for the crash and accused the Americans of provocation. (SDA/no)
