British Prime Minister again ignores rules

British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak (42) again came into contact with the police – this time because of his dog. Sunak and his family were filmed walking their Labrador Nova in London’s Hyde Park. The prime minister let Nova roam free. And this despite the fact that signs clearly state that all dogs must be leashed.

In the video posted on TikTok, dog Nova can be seen walking around freely. This prompted the police to file a report. “An officer present at the time spoke to a woman and reminded her of the rules,” a police statement said on Tuesday, apparently referring to Sunak’s wife Akshata Murty, 42. “The dog was put back on a leash.”

Sunak was not wearing his seat belt while the car was moving

Sunak’s spokesman initially declined to comment on the incident. The immensely wealthy prime minister has tried several times in the past to suppress the impression that he has lost his grip on reality.

Despite having a better image than his predecessor Boris Johnson (58), Sunak continues to attract the attention of the police. During his time as Johnson’s Chancellor of the Exchequer, he was fined for throwing a party on Downing Street in June 2020 that violated government corona rules.

In January, Sunak videotaped himself in a moving car without a seatbelt and was fined again. Sunak apologized for a “misjudgment” at the time. (AFP/dzc)
