Spaniard does not want to pay ex-wife a penny for household chores

Ivana Moral (48) took care of the household in Spain for many years and raised their children while her husband (53) made a career. He made a lot of money. Millions A judge sentenced him to pay damages of 205,000 euros to his ex-wife. “It’s nice that this is finally appreciated. I don’t care about the money, but now I can finally be independent and live my life,” said the Spaniard after the verdict.

The ex-husband, on the other hand, is furious. His wife did not earn the money. She was incompetent, unbalanced and unfaithful. The Spaniard, who only wants to be called Pablo, makes serious accusations against his ex-wife. He struggled a lot with her changing moods. She was childish and incapable of doing things. She was a bad mother and even responsible for his daughter’s mental problems.

Pablo told the Spanish newspaper “Crónica” that he did not understand the verdict and was quite perplexed: “I gave her access to my car and gave her a mobile phone. Why do I have to pay her so much money now? She also made it easy with my money, lived like a queen.” During the trial, Pablo threw himself on the ground and claimed that he was suffering from severe back pain that prevented him from working as an olive grower.

“I will pay and end the relationship”

Morale tells a different story: she has been fighting all her life. In the early days of their relationship, her husband owned a gym. She took care of the customers there free of charge and took care of their nutritional plans. She felt increasingly abused and became depressed. She also attempted suicide, partly because her husband did not want a divorce. He was a very difficult character. Apparently he had a very traditional family image in mind. The man works, the woman stands at the stove and takes care of the children.

This also seems to confirm the behavior of Pablo’s lawyers. Three defense lawyers in a row dropped out of the case because their client got them into trouble and behaved very macholy. But Pablo has confirmed that he will pay: “I don’t want to owe anyone anything. I will pay and end the relationship.”

The case has caused an uproar beyond Spain’s borders and is seen as evidence of the upholding of feminist causes. (A)
