Five dead and two seriously injured in a serious car accident in the German city of Karlsruhe. According to Karlsruhe police headquarters, which spoke to “Bild”, a BMW collided head-on with a large taxi on Saturday evening.

All four occupants of the BMW, three men and a woman aged 24 to 29, died at the scene of the accident. A 28-year-old passenger in the taxi also died of his injuries. The driver of the taxi, a Mercedes Vito and another passenger were seriously injured, but their lives are not in danger.

It is not yet clear why the BMW collided with the taxi. According to the police, slipperiness can be ruled out as the cause of the accident.
