Fox News host Tucker Carlson wrote in a message to an unknown recipient that he despises ex-US President Donald Trump. This is evident from court documents available to the “Huffpost”. Fox News is considered a conservative broadcaster and has reported mostly positively about Donald Trump in the past.
The chat transcripts are among a mountain of documents released Tuesday as part of the $1.6 billion defamation lawsuit against Fox News. Voting machine manufacturer Dominion Voting Systems accuses the news giant of significantly damaging the company’s reputation by spreading the conspiracy theory that its counting machines were flagged in the 2020 presidential election.
A previously released chat transcript revealed that after the Jan. 6 Capitol storm, Carlson complained to his producer that Trump was a “demonic force” and a “destroyer.” Harsh words, especially considering that Fox News’ audience is predominantly Christian religious.
It is all the more surprising then that Carlson has always protected and defended Trump the longest. About a year after the storm, he published a documentary claiming the riot was a “false flag operation”.
