All five occupants died in a minor plane crash near Little Rock, Arkansas. The plane crashed shortly after takeoff from Bill and Hillary Clinton Airport in the town of Little Rock for unknown reasons, a local police official said Wednesday. There are no survivors.
Five people were on board the plane, which was en route to Columbus, Ohio, several media reported, citing the US air traffic control agency FAA. All the prisoners were employees of a local consultancy, it said.
There were strong gusts of wind at the time of the crash. It was initially unclear whether this led to the accident. According to media reports, the aircraft was a twin-engined Beech BE 20 machine.(sda/dpa)
