Gabby Petito: Selfie with bruised face Minutes before police checkpoint Assad troops shell Syria earthquake zone, according to report

A newly released photo of Gabby Petito shows her face covered in blood. It was only minutes before she and her fiancé, who would later kill her, were questioned by police.

Gabby Petito and her fiancé Brian Laundrie were stopped on August 12, 2021 after police received a call about domestic violence. After an hour-long conversation, the police moved on and a month later, Gabby Petito was found dead.

Gabby Petito documents her injuries with teary eyes.

A photo released by Petito’s lawyers now casts a bad light on the police officers. The 22-year-old can be seen with a bruised face. One eye is red and bloody and there are scratches on her cheek.

What is now causing outrage: just 15 minutes after this photo was taken, the two police officers are said to have appeared to talk to her and her fiancé. The couple had been on a road trip across the United States, which they documented online with photos and videos. However, not everything was as rosy as it seemed.

A witness reportedly saw the two outside a grocery store in Moab, Utah, on August 12. Laundry beat Petito there and tried to take her mobile phone, the witness reported in a call to the police.

He then went looking for the two and stopped them on the street the same day. They were then questioned separately for an hour.

Bodycam footage shows Gabby Petito sitting in the car crying as she talks to the police officer. She tells him that she and her fiancé have been arguing more often lately. She also complains about her mental health.

In the end, the police only advise the couple to spend the night separately. Then they disappear without reporting anything. According to the police report on the incident, Laundrie claimed to have been beaten by Petito after an argument.

However, the clues spoke a different language: Gabby Petito would have referred to her injuries during the conversation with the police, Petito’s lawyer Brian Stewart reported Monday. However, the police ignored this and did nothing further to investigate and document the violation.

Petito’s family is now suing the police for negligence. The lawyer told the Sun:

“Seeing Gabby like this is heartbreaking. Gabby made it very clear to the Moab Police Department that Brian grabbed her face and scratched her. But they ignored her and the danger she was in.”

Petito was reported missing by her family on September 11 and was found dead on September 19 at a campground in northwest Wyoming. Cause of death: strangulation.

A month later, on October 20, Laundrie’s body was found. He had shot himself. He carried a notebook in which he confessed to the murder of his fiancé. (Sat)
