Russia’s Blackest Day: Over 1,000 Soldiers Dead in 24 Hours Execution of US Quadruple Murderer

The war between Russia and Ukraine has been raging for 350 days. Day 348, last Monday, was the invaders’ biggest loss yet. 1030 Russian soldiers are said to have died. In addition, 14 main battle tanks, 28 armored cars and an artillery gun were put out of action. More than 134,000 Russians have died in Ukraine since the war began.

These official figures from the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are based on reports from the front and reconnaissance images from drones and satellites. How well they represent reality is controversial. They are just estimates. For example, when HIMARS is deployed at ammunition depots or command posts far behind the front lines, the number of casualties is difficult to determine. Prussian Major General Carl von Clausewitz once said: “Casuality statistics are not accurate on either side, rarely true, but in most cases they are deliberately manipulated.”

Two weeks ago, the Norwegian army estimated that 180,000 Russians had been killed and wounded. In wars, the ratio of dead to wounded is usually around 1:3 (45,000 to 135,000).

Chuck Pfarrer, former Navy SEAL, best-selling author and observer of the war in Ukraine, believes the casualty count on the Russian side could be even higher: “My military sources in Ukraine and NATO tell me that the actual number of Russian casualties is higher than indicated by Ukraine.”

Ukraine does not communicate its own loss figures. Earlier estimates of 100 deaths and injuries per day are probably outdated and too low. This because of the heavy fighting in the east. Above all, the battle for the region of the ruined city of Bachmut and Soledar has degenerated into a brutal war of attrition. President Zelensky admits that the situation in the east is becoming increasingly difficult. The Russian associations have gained ground there in recent weeks.

Unverified Reports in Russian Telegram, groups paint a chilling picture of activities on the eastern front. In teams of eight men, mostly made up of former prisoners, Wagner units must advance – and they do until they come under fire. Anyone who refuses will be shot.

In the hail of bullets, the unit must take cover, dig new trenches in the frozen ground, secure the position, mark it and supply the artillery with data. Few succeed in this project. In Soledar, it took 14 such teams to capture an area. The artillery, which is actually available for support, works less and less. There is a lack of ammunition. But the replenishment of fresh forces has also dried up.
