Tokyo police have arrested a man and a woman after allegedly brainwashing a teenager into sexually assaulting her. The 74-year-old and his 43-year-old ex-wife were arrested on suspicion of attempted violent sex, according to a Japan Times report. The man apparently denies the allegations while the arrested woman remains silent.
The Japanese was arrested on Tuesday in connection with the incident, which allegedly took place in December in a house west of Tokyo. According to the Japanese detectives, the suspect lives in the house with his current wife, three children and eight of his ex-wives, including the arrested 43-year-old. The accused woman is said to have lured the young people in with the promise that she could speak to a fortune teller. There, the two would have shown the victim pictures of aliens for hours.
The alleged perpetrator told the teen that she would be “abducted by aliens” if she did not go into business with him. The girl allegedly believed the man and promised to visit him again. Her family and friends then persuaded her to go to the police. The 74-year-old Japanese man was allegedly convicted in 2006 of attempting to force another woman to join his polyamorous family.
