Philipp Schuler-Voith, descendant of billionaire entrepreneur Robert Schuler-Voith, has passed away. As the “BILD” reports, he was found lifeless in his room at a luxury hotel in Zurich two weeks ago.
This has been confirmed by a spokesperson for the public prosecutor’s office in Zurich. “As usual with such deaths, the public prosecutor’s office is investigating the circumstances together with the police,” he told BILD when asked. The cause of death is still unknown.
The Schuler-Voith dynasty is one of the wealthiest in Germany. The Munich family moves in the highest circles, which is not surprising given their net worth, which is estimated to be between half a billion and a billion. Father Robert was the boss of the household appliances group “Leifheit” for a long time, from which he retired in 2015. He was also the majority shareholder of his own Schuler AG, which produces presses, and sold his shares in 2013. Mother Brigitte is an art patron and is considered influential in the scene.
As the “BILD” reports, the late Philipp tried again and again to build on his parents’ success stories. However, he is said to have enjoyed a jet set and a luxurious life. The Schuler-Voith family has not commented.
