The driver of the truck has been taken to hospital. The train’s driver suffered minor injuries. Fortunately, the traffic controller was not injured.
Cambodia’s transportation infrastructure is ill-equipped, as are its health and education systems. Even with billions in US funding, the country’s condition has not improved significantly since the brutal Khmer Rouge regime. The Nationalist-Communist regime murdered about a third of the population.
