In Boone, a small town in North Carolina, a man drove amok in a stolen tractor. During the wild ride, he tried to run over passersby, collided with several other vehicles and rammed into a church and a garbage can:
The shooter is Ronnie Hicks, Boone police said in a Facebook post. Hicks had been known to the police for some time. In the comments, alleged acquaintances of Hicks have spoken out and mentioned substance abuse and psychological problems that Hicks has.
Driving with only three tyres
A police officer burst a front tire of the tractor. But even with only three tires, Hicks continued for a few more miles. In a forest he left the tractor behind and threatened the police with a knife. Hicks was eventually arrested using a taser. (fwe)
