Employees of US President Joe Biden have probably found secret documents in another location outside his old office in the capital Washington DC. This is reported by the American news channel NBC. It was only announced on Monday that detectives had already found classified documents in November in an office that Biden had used after his time as US vice president under Barack Obama.
Since then, according to NBC, employees have searched other locations for classified documents that may have been left behind. The goal is a complete list of any secret documents that may have been accidentally boxed after Biden’s office as vice president was vacated. Actually, they should be handed over to the National Archives and examined by the Ministry of Justice.
According to the report, so far neither the White House nor the US Justice Department has commented on the alleged find.
The finds are tricky for Joe Biden: A similar case involving his predecessor Donald Trump caused a scandal in the summer. Apparently, after his term ended, he had taken government documents to his private estate in Florida on a large scale. Unlike Trump, Biden has already promised “full cooperation” with the investigation.
