At the awards ceremony in Beverly Hills on Tuesday, the series won three awards, including Best Comedy, Best Comedy Leading Actor Quinta Brunson and Tyler James Williams for Best Supporting Actor. Brunson is also the creator and producer of the series. Best Comedy Actor was Jeremy Allen White as a young chef in The Bear.
The “Game of Thrones” offshoot “House of the Dragon” received the award for best drama series. Zendaya won the Best Actress in a Drama Series award for the teen series “Euphoria” and Kevin Costner won the Best Actor award for his role in the neo-western “Yellowstone.”
The best mini-series/television film was «White Lotus», a bitter satire on the spoiled super-rich on luxury vacations. Supporting Actress Jennifer Coolidge also won a Globe for it. Lead Actor Awards went to Evan Peters for “Dahmer” and Amanda Seyfried for “The Dropout”. Paul Walter Hauser won Best Supporting Actor in a Miniseries for Black Bird.
The Globe trophies in 27 film and television categories from the Association of Foreign Press (HFPA) were awarded for the 80th time. In January 2022, NBC canceled traditional TV broadcasts. The reason for this was, among other things, massive criticism of the association for a lack of diversity. As part of a restructuring, the pool of Globe judges has now become larger and more diverse.
