Scandal influencer Andrew Tate tweets from custody

The British ex-kickboxer and influencer Andrew Tate (36) is making headlines again. This time with a cryptic tweet that he allegedly posted during his detention in Romania, the English newspaper “Mirror” reports. Specifically, he writes: “The Matrix attacked me. But they misunderstand, you can’t kill an idea. Hard to kill.” (In English: “The Matrix attacked me. But they don’t understand, you can’t kill an idea. Hard to kill.”)

Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan Tate (34) were arrested at the end of December 2022 for allegedly forcing women into the sex business. The Romanian authorities are investigating the two for rape, human trafficking and setting up a criminal organization.

“The Matrix has sent its agents”

Tate, who moved to Romania with his brother a few years ago, has been banned from several online services for misogynistic comments. He wrote that women who are victims of sexual assault are themselves to blame. Since the sale of Twitter to multi-billionaire Elon Musk (51), Tate is allowed to use the platform again. There he has 3.6 million subscribers.

It’s not the first time Andrew Tate has spoken about the “Matrix”. The ex-martial artist apparently means the power that the media, politics and big tech companies have – and that would have “targeted” him. Just like in the 1999 movie.

When the misogynist was arrested in December, he said the Matrix had attacked him. He then tweeted, “The Matrix has sent its agents.” And a moment later: “The matrix will only say what it wants you to believe.”

Rushed to hospital

It gets even more bizarre: one of the Tate brothers had to be taken directly to the hospital after a routine check, reports the Romanian news channel “Antena 3 CNN”. It remains unclear who is meant by the two Tate brothers.

Andrew and Tristan Tate allegedly forced women into sex in order to produce porn and distribute it on the Internet. Prosecutors say the Tate brothers acted strategically. They tricked the women into believing they were in love, only to lock them up and force them into prostitution.

“The abuse was psychological and physical,” a bailiff told the British newspaper Daily Mail. As is also said from legal circles, the scandal influencer got the victims tattooed with the words “Owned by Andrew Tate”. (two)
