Renner posted a photo from the hospital bed on Instagram on Tuesday afternoon (local time) showing him with tubes in his nose, a black eye and abrasions on his face. Renner thanked in a short text for the many recovery wishes. He was “too confused” to type, but he wanted to send “love” to everyone.

Countless fans and colleagues, including Chris Pratt, Orlando Bloom, Chris Hemsworth, Penélope Cruz and Isla Fisher, took to Instagram to wish her a speedy recovery. “Speedy recovery,” with a heart emoji, desired model and TV presenter Heidi Klum.
According to police in Washoe County, Nevada, Renner was run over by his own snowplow on New Year’s Day. Sheriff Darin Balaam spoke of a “tragic accident” at a news conference Tuesday.
After heavy snowfall in the mountain area near Lake Tahoe, a member of the Renners family got stuck in a car on a private road. The actor freed the vehicle from the snow masses with his snowplow. Then he got out, but the heavy machine began to move again. The accident happened when I tried to get back into the driver’s seat, Balaam said. The investigation would still be ongoing.
Renner was taken by helicopter to a nearby clinic. He suffered “blunt force trauma” to the chest area and “orthopedic injuries,” his team of spokespersons said Monday, according to media reports. His condition was described as critical but stable. After surgery, he was treated in intensive care, the newspaper said.
Renner, the father of a nine-year-old daughter, starred in the superhero series “Avengers” and two “Mission: Impossible” movies. He was nominated for an Oscar in 2010 for his leading role in the war drama The Hurt Locker. A year later, he received a second nomination for his supporting role in Ben Affleck’s action thriller The Town. (sda/dpa)
