The alleged rapist was arrested in Romania for human trafficking. Khan announced on Saturday that he wanted to exchange thoughts with Taliban representatives on Twitter about Tate’s arrest. Whether members of the Taliban were actually among the participants in the Twitter space cannot be independently verified. Andrew and his brother Tristan have been detained for 30 days since Friday. This has been decided by a court in Bucharest. The decision was preceded by a five-hour interrogation and three-hour deliberations.
The brothers and two other suspects are charged with forming a criminal gang for the purpose of “recruiting, harboring and exploiting women by forcing them to produce pornographic content for use on relevant paid websites”. (nad)
