According to the Wiesenthal Center, rapper Kanye West tops the list of the ten worst anti-Semitic incidents of 2022. West, who now calls himself Ye, is number one because in addition to continued anti-Semitic statements, he also abused his enormous influence on social media to “spread hatred, using fanaticism and ignorance as weapons”.
According to a report released Thursday by the Wiesenthal Center, West has pushed Jew-hatred into the mainstream on social media.
Founded in 1977 and headquartered in Los Angeles, the Wiesenthal Center became known for its worldwide search for Nazi criminals in hiding. But it also strives for tolerance and fights against racism, anti-Semitism, terrorism and genocide around the world.
In addition to West, the list also included the UN Human Rights Council, which repeatedly accuses Israel of unfair unilateralism, Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Iran’s state-sponsored hatred of Israel.
