A video camera caught the lightning strike next to a retirement home in Louisiana’s St. John the Baptist Parish region. The area sheriff shared the video of the impact on Facebook. It is unknown if anyone was injured.

Tornadoes hit the state of Louisiana a few days ago. Three people died in the hurricanes, according to Fox Weather. In St. Charles Parish – the neighboring area of St. John the Baptist Parish – a tornado caused particularly extensive destruction.
