In the US state of Ohio, a supposedly controlled demolition of industrial towers is not going according to plan. A disused factory in the small town of Manchester is demolished. It has been decided to demolish four towers by means of controlled demolition.

At first everything goes as planned. The explosives detonate as requested on the spot – but one of the four towers does not fall in the intended direction:

Fortunately for the blasting company, the entire industrial facility was planned to be demolished anyway. Nevertheless, the cause of the failed explosion must now be investigated. It is unknown if there were any injuries. (fwe)
