Nearly 60 years after the assassination of US President John F. Kennedy, current President Joe Biden (80) has published more than 12,000 previously classified documents.
White House spokeswoman Karine Jean-Pierre said in Washington on Thursday that, according to Biden, “any information related to the assassination of President Kennedy should be made public as much as possible.”
Other documents remained under lock and key for security reasons. However, work is also underway on their publication.
Kennedy was 46 years old
Kennedy was shot to death in an open car in Dallas, Texas, on November 22, 1963. The Democratic politician was only 46 years old. Investigations at the time concluded that hitman Lee Harvey Oswald, who later shot himself, acted alone.
Yet all sorts of conspiracy theories persist to this day. Experts now hope for new insights from the documents. (SDA)
