In England, a double murderer and sex offender with necrophiliac tendencies has been sentenced to a further four years in prison. The man had admitted to violating 23 other bodies – more than 100 dead girls and women in total. The 68-year-old had already admitted to killing two women aged 20 and 25 in 1987 and assaulting their lifeless bodies. He was sentenced to life imprisonment last year.
In addition, the man claims to have abused dozens of bodies between 2008 and 2020 in various morgues in counties Kent and Sussex, where he had worked as an electrician. First he confessed to the abuse of 78 lifeless bodies. In early November, he also admitted to abusing 23 others. “They had no respect for the dignity of the dead,” Judge Parmjit Kaur Cheema-Grubb said at London’s Old Bailey Criminal Court on Wednesday. “You will remain behind bars until you die.”
The government is currently investigating why the perpetrator went unnoticed for years. (saw/sda/dpa)
