Nothing speaks against the flight to Monaco on Friday a week ago. When the Eurocopter EC130 takes off from the airport in Lausanne VD in the afternoon, the weather is sunny and clear. Monacair’s helicopter has been given a new service. An experienced pilot is at the helm. And yet the accident happens: around 2 p.m. the helicopter crashes into a rock wall on the Col d’Èze on the Côte d’Azur. Just an accident?
When rescue teams arrive above the French A8 motorway, they find two bodies. The dead are Russian crypto billionaire Viacheslav Taran († 53) and his French pilot († 35). The public prosecutor immediately noticed contradictions. In addition to the ideal flight conditions, a second point arouses suspicion. A second Russian would fly with him. However, he canceled at short notice and did not fly.
The police and the Public Prosecution Service are therefore also investigating third-party debt. Since the outbreak of war in Ukraine, 14 oligarchs and senior figures of Moscow’s power elite have died under mysterious circumstances. The Italian daily “La Stampa” even suspects the existence of a “black list” of the Ukrainian secret service.
“They Will Torture Me To Death”
But there is another mysterious death streak that Taran’s death fits into. The co-founder of Libertex is also the third international crypto king to die in just four weeks.
On the morning of October 28, 2022, Nikolai Mushegian († 29) left his six million dollar mansion in San Juan, Puerto Rico, for a walk on the beach. Around 9 a.m., a surfer spots the floating corpse of the co-founder of cryptocurrency lending platform MakerDAO and decentralized stablecoin Dai DAI. Born in Russia, he wears his street clothes and carries his wallet, writes The Post. The autopsy shows that Mushegian drowned.
Crypto King had mental problems
A confused tweet posted by the blockchain pioneer hours before he disappeared is suspicious. In it, Nikolai Mushegian writes about an alleged conspiracy by the CIA, Mossad and elite pedophiles to track him down. “They will torture me to death,” continued the crypto king.
However, after his death, the media quoted acquaintances of the billionaire as reporting on his increased cannabis use and mental health problems.
Four weeks later, the world of bitcoin loses another pioneer. Tiantian Kullander († 30) is the boss of the Hong Kong Amber Group. His fortune is estimated at three billion. “TT,” as his friends called him, died in his sleep, his company announced in a public statement. Conspiracy theorists have their doubts. The exact cause of death has never been known.
