Putin uses Ukraine’s experience with Western weapons

Vladimir Putin (70) has gathered information in Ukraine to better assess Western weapons. Putin is open about the fact that some of the Western weapons used in Ukraine are now helping Russia.

According to Putin, the Russian arms industry in particular should make use of the experience gained in the fight against modern Western weapons. The advantage is that the quality, reliability and combat effectiveness of Russian weapon systems improve. The information you have “collected” and “will collect is a very good experience,” Putin said in Moscow on Friday.

Lukashenko does not want to send soldiers to help Putin

According to the Tass agency, he attended an event there to mark the 15th anniversary of the Rostec state holding company. This brings together about 700 Russian high-tech companies, mainly in the arms sector.

Russia would have problems with arms deliveries

However, the arms situation in Russia does not seem particularly favorable at the moment. According to US Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin (69), Russian troops in Ukraine increasingly face “significant bottlenecks in artillery ammunition”.

Since the beginning of their offensive war against Ukraine, the Russian armed forces have had “logistical problems” and these problems persist. Above all, the shortage of artillery shells is increasingly hampering their military action.

Russia’s supply of “precision-guided munitions”, such as self-guided missiles and artillery shells, has “decreased significantly” in the nine months since the invasion, according to the US Defense Secretary. (euc/AFP)
