Twitter is getting new verification check marks

There are gold check marks for companies, gray check marks for governments and authorities, and blue check marks for individuals, Musk wrote on Twitter on Friday. Before the taps are activated, the accounts are manually verified. “Sorry for the delay,” Musk wrote.

At the beginning of this month, Twitter reorganized its tick allocation. Under this model, anyone who paid $8 a month got the verification check. There was no identity check. After a spate of brand and celebrity fake accounts, the opportunity has been suspended again. Musk said Twitter will only allow repurchases of ticks if there is a “high probability” of avoiding account spoofing. Another attempt was originally scheduled for November 29.
