Big fuss about Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov (72) Monday morning. Various media reports that the Russian foreign minister was said to have been hospitalized during the G20 summit on the holiday island of Bali. The reason: heart problems!
The Russian authorities immediately responded and denied the report, which was also distributed by the AP news agency. Finally, Lavrov himself insisted on describing the reports as “fake” in a video. In the video, Lavrov can be seen in shorts and a T-shirt on the hotel terrace, apparently in the midst of preparations for the G20 summit.
Apple products and queer t-shirt
Only: the video exposes the alleged hater of the West as a liar. Because his favorite message, that Western sanctions will not harm Russia and that Western products are not necessary, does not seem to apply to Lavrov himself.
In the video, Lavrov can be seen with various American products, “Bild” reports. A new iPhone from the Pro series is on the table in front of Lavrov and the Foreign Minister also wears an Apple Watch on his wrist. Both products come from the American tech giant Apple.
And Sergei Lavrov also relies on the USA for the T-shirt. The motif on his T-shirt comes from the American artist Jean-Michel Basquiat (1960-1988). Basquiat also does not fit into Lavrov’s role model: the young artist, who died of a drug overdose, was openly gay and openly anti-colonial – thus living in clear contradiction to the values promoted by the current Russian leadership.
The Russian parliament only passed a new law at the end of October. Consequently, «LGBT propaganda» and «the denial of traditional family values», namely marriage between a man and a woman, will be criminalized in the future. (see)
