Man cuts girlfriend in 35 pieces and buries her in forest

In India, police arrested a man who allegedly strangled his partner and chopped her body into 35 pieces.

He then buried the pieces for more than two weeks in a forest in the capital New Delhi – in the middle of the night so as not to arouse suspicion, the Indian news agency IANS reported Monday, according to the police. Over the weekend, she was able to arrest the alleged perpetrator and collect body parts with him in the woods.

According to police, the trained cook killed his partner, with whom he lived, after a dispute over the marriage. He would have temporarily stored the pieces of her corpse in a newly purchased refrigerator. In fact, he was also inspired by the American crime series “Dexter”.

The case only came to light after the victim’s father filed a missing person report with the police last week. According to the police, the father broke off contact with his daughter long ago because he did not agree with her relationship with the alleged perpetrator and their cohabitation. He heard from one of her friends that she had been unavailable for a long time. Surveillance camera images eventually led police to the man. (SDA)
