Drama in Dallas (USA): An incident occurred during the “Commemorative Air Force Air Show” at Dallas Executive Airport on Saturday, as reported by several US media outlets. Accordingly, two planes collided in mid-air and then crashed. The Dallas Fire Department reported a Level 3 Alert – Aircraft Emergency! “It was horrible to watch,” one viewer of the show said on Twitter.
The accident happened around 1:25 p.m. during the Wings Over Dallas WWII Airshow, according to Dallas News, among others. The condition of the pilots and whether there are any injuries from falling debris has not yet been released. Bystanders reported that the wing simply came off as it flew over the airfield. The Dallas Police Department says the Dallas Fire and EMS are on the scene.
Saturday would be the second day of a three-day show to be held over the Veterans Day weekend; Friday’s events were canceled due to bad weather. The organization’s website states that events must also take place on Sundays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. (chs)
