The Chinese military prepares for war

Diplomatic tensions between China and Taiwan continue to escalate. It’s no secret that China considers the breakaway island state its own territory and would rather retake the island militarily. Only in August did the visit of the American top politician Nancy Pelosi (82) almost cause an escalation.

Now the Chinese head of state Xi Jinping (69) has ordered a massive military build-up. The situation is becoming increasingly unstable and uncertain, Jinping said on state broadcaster CCTV on Tuesday. Therefore, the People’s Republic will “deeply strengthen military training and war preparations”.

Built Floating Colossus

The military must prepare for any possible war, Xi said. The stated goal: by 2027, its own military must in no way be inferior to that of the class enemy US. In recent weeks, China has been flexing its muscles over Taiwan as the superpower with helicopters and ships appeared off the coast of the island.

Meanwhile, China is already expanding its arsenal. In the spring, the military inaugurated the first mega aircraft carrier “Fujian”. It is considered one of the most advanced aircraft carriers ever. Among other things, the “Fujian” is the first Chinese ship with a modern electromagnetic launch catapult for fighter jets.

Major control over trade routes

The American secret service CIA assumes that sooner or later there will be war between China and Taiwan. Chinese ruler Xi also threatened that the “reunification” between the island and mainland China would have to happen “yet in this generation”.

If the island of Taiwan were conquered, China would have extensive control over the trade routes in the Pacific Ocean. However, Taiwan is also the largest computer chip producer in the world. If production on the island comes to a standstill, there is also the risk of a standstill in the west. (see)
