During a performance in the state of Ohio, Trump made a “very big announcement” on Tuesday evening, November 15. He justified the week-long wait by saying, “We don’t want anything to distract from tomorrow’s importance.”
The United States House of Representatives, parts of the Senate and dozens of governors will be re-elected next Tuesday. There has long been speculation that Trump could announce his own candidacy in the 2024 presidential election after the success of well-meaning candidates.
On Monday, rumors circulated that this could happen at the show in Ohio. But in the end, the announcement of the date stuck next week.
