A week after it was acquired by multi-billionaire Elon Musk, Twitter fired about half of its 7,500 employees on Friday. Musk had fired Twitter’s management immediately after the takeover. Musk took over Twitter for $44 billion last Thursday.
People at Twitter, then and now, are strong and resilient. They will always find a way, no matter how difficult the moment. I realize that many are angry with me. I myself am responsible for why everyone is in this situation: I have grown the company size too fast. Sorry about that.
