A Spanish teacher is said to have been brutally murdered by her own students in the United States. The crime occurred on November 2, 2021 in the state of Iowa. Now the accused Willard M.* (17) and Jeremy G.* (17) are on trial. The prosecution released shocking details on Tuesday.
The teacher Nohema G.* († 66) is said to have been murdered because M. was angry about his poor grades, the “New York Post” reports.
According to investigators, Willard M., who was 16 at the time, met with his teacher at Fairfield High School on the day of the crime to discuss his poor grades. Some time later, the woman then drove her van to a park where she often went for a walk. A day later, her body was found in this park.
Killed with baseball bat
Investigators believe the two teens beat Nohema G. to death with a baseball bat.
M. himself confirmed to police that he was frustrated by the poor grade, which caused his overall points average to drop. But he denied being involved in his teacher’s murder.
He later stated that he “knew everything” but did not kill her himself. Instead, masked children allegedly killed the teacher and then forced Jeremy G. to make the body disappear — according to the defendant’s version.
Filled with Snapchat Murder
But according to eyewitnesses, two male people left the park in the teacher’s van. And that was less than an hour after the woman drove it. The car was then parked at the end of a country road.
In retrospect, Jeremy G. reportedly reported the murder in a Snapchat message with a friend. According to the investigators, a witness provided relevant screenshots of the conversation. In it, G. would have named himself and his buddy M. as involved in the murder.
The two 17-year-olds charged with murder will be tried once they reach the age of majority to be tried under adult criminal law. For example, the trial of Jeremy G. will take place in Davenport on December 5 and Willard M. on March 20 in Council Bluffs. (lrc)
