Shannen Doherty prepares for the aftermath of her death. In the new episode of her podcast ‘Let’s Be Clear’, the actress, who suffered from breast cancer, said she was currently getting rid of her belongings. The reason: she wanted to relieve her mother Rosa. “My priority right now is my mom,” the “Beverly Hills, 90210” actress said.
“I know it will be hard for her if I die before her,” Doherty continued. And so that it doesn’t become even more difficult for her mother, she cleans up the house. “I don’t want her to have to deal with a lot of things. “I don’t want her to have four storage rooms full of furniture,” the ‘Charmed’ actress explained in the podcast. She announced the episode on Instagram as “as hard as it gets.” But through the pain there is clarity and peace.”
To get rid of her belongings, Shannen Doherty traveled to one of her properties in Tennessee. She actually wanted to live there with her mother and save old and sick horses. But she had to give up this dream, she said in tears in the podcast. To her it almost felt like she was giving up on life.

Her mother wanted to stop her from taking this step. But Shannen Doherty stood by her decision. On the way back to California, the dream of saving horses seemed like a “stupid idea.” She described letting go as the right decision that would bring her a little “peace.” It is an important step to give her family a “clean, easier transition” after her death.

Shannen Doherty wants to sell some of her assets. She wants to use the money to travel with her family: “I build memories with the people I love.” She does not have to take money from her estate for this. After her death, her relatives would be cared for.
Shannen Doherty suffers from stage four, or final stage, breast cancer. She was first diagnosed with the disease in 2015. The actress is open about her illness and regularly gives her fans updates about her condition. In June 2023, she told the public that metastases had developed in her brain, and in November 2023, she announced in a ‘People’ interview that the cancer had also affected her bones. In January 2024, she spoke about a medical “miracle” that bought her some time.
