13-year-old Shanon was in a coma for several days until she lost the battle: she died on March 27 in the hospital of Amiens (F). Her mother Ludivine is devastated. She wants to know what happened three weeks earlier in a house in Rantigny.
“I, my family, everyone who knew Shanon are in a state of shock,” the mother told “Le Parisien”. “We have been living a nightmare since March 6.” That’s when she dropped Shanon off at a friend’s house.
Researchers are now trying to decipher what is happening there. One thing is certain: two young men, one aged 18 and one aged 19, come to visit the girls. Apparently, Shanon’s friend met her through Tiktok, but they kept her real age hidden.
The 18-year-old is in custody
The 18-year-old allegedly raped Shanon. She is then taken to hospital in cardiac arrest, bleeding profusely and with serious injuries to her abdomen – and is in a coma for almost three weeks before dying.
Police arrested the 18-year-old and took him into custody. The 19-year-old and Shanon’s girlfriend of the same age are also arrested, but released after questioning. They are also charged for failing to prevent the crime.
An autopsy will now be conducted to determine the exact cause of death. Shanon’s mother says, “I believe in justice and letting the police do their job. We all want to know the truth about this tragedy.”
The mayor is also deeply affected. Virginie Garnier says: “Everyone knew this family. I’m at a loss for words, it’s a monstrosity.” (neo)
