The US government has made a call in 2022: Irish gang boss Christopher Kinahan Sr.

Considered one of the most wanted men in the world, Christopher Kinahan Sr., the head of the infamous ‘Kinahan Organized Crime Group’, which originated in Ireland and is also known as the ‘Kinahan Cartel’.

Huge bounty from the US government

For a man with such a background, you would think he would do anything to stay under the radar of law enforcement. Ultimately, the US government paid out a whopping $15 million to Kinahan Sr. alone. and his two sons. Meanwhile, the Kinahan clan is said to have set up camp in Dubai. The emirate has so far refrained from extraditing the wanted trio.

According to a report from research platform Bellingcat, the gangster boss is said to have been traveling the world quite carefree lately and has also written a few Google reviews of hotels and restaurants, which now offer valuable insights into Kinahan’s movements and whereabouts around the world. delivery last five years.

While some reviews are short and banal, for example about a restaurant in Istanbul, other posts provide interesting information about his business activities. Some comments talk about ‘business networking conferences’ in Zimbabwe and watching a sunset with colleagues in South Africa while ‘discussing business’.

Brags about his jet-set lifestyle

‘Bellingcat’ also managed to prove that the profile was actually that of Kinahan Sr. especially since the email address associated with the profile was his and linked to an account included in US sanctions documents. In some photos you can also see the reflection – or at least part of it – of the gangster.

Kinahan’s first Google response dates back to 2019, when he gave a three-star review for a burger restaurant in Dubai. A total of 221 reviews could be found, covering restaurants and hotels in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Spain, Zimbabwe, South Africa, Hong Kong and Belgium.

The messages also provide very specific information about the Irish gangster boss’s lifestyle. In a 2021 post about a visit to a Rolex store in Dubai, Kinahan writes that a helpful employee found him “a short-term solution” to a problem he was having.

The sons are also active

That the Kinahans are not taking the US government’s manhunt lightly is evident from the fact that no reviews for locations outside the UAE have been published since the manhunt was announced in April 2022.

Kinahan Sr., nicknamed “The Dapper Don” for his impeccable dressing style, has had several experiences with law enforcement. In 1986, he went to prison for the first time in a long time after being caught with more than $100,000 worth of heroin. He was released in 1992 but was booked again five years later. This time because he handled stolen checks.

His two sons Daniel, a former boxer, and Christopher are now also actively involved in the family business.
