Richard S.* (47) met his wife Sheree S.* (46) in 2000 at a nightclub in Spain – the night of partying led to a relationship that seemed perfect from the outside. In 2009, the couple got married on a beach in Thailand and had three daughters to complete their happiness. Both earned well and the family lived in a large house in Bubwith, England. But behind closed doors, horrific scenes of domestic violence took place. It was only when a social worker became suspicious and called the police in June 2021 that the terror came to an end for Richard S., the Daily Mail reported.
After the birth of his first daughter in 2015, the father installed a camera in the house to keep an eye on his child. The recordings, together with 43 images in which the brutal traces of his wife’s attacks were clearly visible, became central evidence against his wife. Sheree S. was sentenced to four years in prison. The judge responsible described the actions as “one of the worst cases of coercive control” he had ever seen.
Threatened with a knife and feces smeared on his head
In the documentary called “My wife, my abuser: the secret images” (German: My wife, my abuser: the secret images), the father of the family talks about his bad experiences. He wants to encourage other men who experience domestic violence. The documentary shows shocking scenes: camera footage shows S. being threatened with a knife by his wife. He goes on to tell how the 46-year-old hit him on the head with a wine bottle, deforming his ear, or pushed raw eggs into his face so hard that the shells cut his skin.
But for the man, who is now thankfully forgiven, it is clear: “The more demoralizing things she did to me affected me more than the physical attacks.” His wife told him she wished his sister would die of cancer. She knew how much pain her husband had suffered from the loss of his mother, who died when he was nine. In another incident, she allegedly forbade him from sitting on the bed because she allegedly paid for it with her credit card. When he then sat down on the ground, she sat on his head.
Is the hair straightener packaged?
He would not have filed a report himself because he wanted to protect his daughters. But they noticed the abuse. He filed a lawsuit after his wife was arrested by police in June 2021. When police took the mother away, she showed little interest in her children and only asked if they had packed her hair straightener. During interrogation, she turned the tables and accused her husband of abusing her.
With his story, S. wants to encourage other men to seek help if they are abused by their wives. (Unpleasant)
