Three people were killed by gunfire on Saturday in a suburb of the American metropolis of Philadelphia. According to media reports and police information, the alleged gunman then fled in a stolen car. Police said on the online service Facebook that there were “several gunshot victims” after shots fired in Falls Township.
Police and the governor of the American state of Pennsylvania, Josh Shapiro (50), called on residents to stay at home. Police said it was initially unclear whether the shots were “targeted or accidental.” The suspect was therefore the homeless Andre G.* (26). He probably has an assault rifle and is “extremely dangerous.”
Will a Swat team take out Andre G.?
Local media, citing police, reported that the gunman drove a stolen car and killed two people at a home in Levittown, Falls Township, and then a third person at a nearby apartment. He then stole a dark gray Honda in front of a store, the driver of which was unharmed.
G. barricaded himself in the evening (Swiss time) with several hostages in a house in the city of Trenton in the American state of New Jersey. Officers also discovered the dark gray Honda in Trenton. Heavily armed police units surrounded the building. A SWAT team climbed to the roof of the house. (nad/AFP)
