When the doll was presented to her at Buckingham Palace, the 76-year-old joked: “You’ve made me about 50 years younger – we should all have a Barbie.”
The doll wears a miniature version of one of Camilla’s outfits: a blue dress by Fiona Clare, a black lady’s cape by Amanda Wakeley and black boots by Eliot Zed. However, the Barbie doll is a one-off production and will therefore not go on sale.
Camilla received the doll as a gift in recognition of her work as chair of the Women of the World Foundation. Also present at the ceremony were Belgian Queen Mathilde and actress Helen Mirren, who stars in the film “Barbie” with Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling as narrator. (sda/afp)
