The woman was probably only moderately enthusiastic about the police check.

Their nighttime joyride ended abruptly: In central Italy, police officers pulled a 103-year-old woman out of traffic as she drove quickly through the streets of Bondeno in northern Italy.

She was noticed because she kept driving through the same streets around 1 a.m. But that alone was not the problem: during the check, the police patrol discovered that her ticket had already expired for two years.

Moreover, the old lady no longer had insurance for her car. The police had no other choice: the vehicle was seized and taken away by a tow truck. The officers then brought the Italian woman home. According to her own story, she planned to visit friends outside Bondeno. The city is located in the Emilia-Romagna region and has approximately 15,000 inhabitants. (SDA)
