Mysterious case in Florida (US): Marlene L.* (52) was missing for three days and appeared in a shipping container on Thursday afternoon. She was dehydrated, disoriented and could not explain why she ended up in that container in the first place, the Cocoa Police reported.
“I was in one place and was found in another,” a confused Marlene L. told television channel Fox35. Dressed in a leather jacket and tights, she was taken to the hospital. The woman had spent three days in a shipping container where lawn mowers are stored. Tyler S.*, the owner of the container, told the American television channel News 6 that he had already seen the woman hanging around on Monday.

He then closed the container door on Tuesday afternoon and heard no signs of life inside on Wednesday. It wasn’t until Thursday that the woman banged loudly on the container door to draw attention to herself. The owner also stated that he found a lighter and a pipe inside.
On Monday, a concerned colleague contacted police after the woman failed to pick up her son. As of Wednesday, L. was officially missing. How and why Marlene L. ended up in the shipping container is the subject of ongoing research. Tyler S. suspects that the woman fainted in the container. (mgf)
