Elon Musk (51) wants to buy Twitter – and is about to do so. Apparently so close that he burst into the company’s San Francisco headquarters with a sink.
He writes, “Let that sink in.” Musk plays with the word “sink,” which means “sink” in English. But his comment has two meanings: “Let that affect you.”
Already called “Chief Twit”
Musk shared a video of the bizarre scene on Twitter. The billionaire laughs and drags the sink into the lobby. It is not yet clear what he intends to do with it. This comes just two days before the court-ordered deadline for closing the $44 billion deal to buy Twitter.
It looks like Musk will actually buy Twitter by Friday. Earlier in the day, Tesla’s CEO changed his Twitter bio to “Chief Twit.”
In a message to employees, Twitter’s chief marketing officer Leslie Berland said Musk would be at the company’s headquarters throughout the week. Musk is also expected to address the employees personally on Friday.
Musk walks through the corridors
She writes to employees, “Elon is in the San Francisco office this week meeting people, walking the halls and taking care of the important work you all do.”
It continues: “For everyone else, this is just the beginning of many meetings and conversations with Elon, and you will all be hearing directly from him on Friday.”
Musk has until Friday evening to buy the company. Otherwise, the legal proceedings, which should oblige him to buy, will continue. Elon Musk is believed to close the deal. (EU)
